Daytulo vs Structured: Which iPhone Day Planner Fits You?
Last updated: 20 October 2026. Prices checked October 2026, US.
Choose Structured if you want a visual timeline you arrange yourself, with a free version and apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Android and the web. Choose Daytulo if you plan on your iPhone and would rather list what needs doing and how long it takes, then let the app fit it around your calendar, available hours and deadlines and recalculate when the day slips. Both can connect to AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT, though what ChatGPT can do depends on your ChatGPT plan.

When Structured might be right
Structured is a polished, popular planner and for many people it will be the better pick.
- You want to start for free. The core timeline, inbox, subtasks, notes, widgets and focus timer are free. Daytulo has no free tier.
- You use more than an iPhone. Structured syncs across iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac, and its help centre covers Android and Structured Web.
- You like placing things yourself. If dragging tasks onto a colourful timeline is how you think about your day, Structured is built for exactly that.
- You want a one-off purchase. Structured Pro has a lifetime option; Daytulo is subscription only.
- Track record and accessibility. On the US App Store it is an Editors’ Choice, rated 4.8 from about 168,000 ratings when we checked, and it is available in English plus 27 more languages. It lists VoiceOver, Voice Control and a dyslexia-friendly font.
When Daytulo is the stronger fit
- You want the app to do the fitting. You add tasks with a length and, if there is one, a deadline. Daytulo works out where they go around your calendar and available hours, instead of you maintaining every block by hand.
- Your days slip. Started late, or a task ran over? Recalculate, and Daytulo replans the rest of today. Work that no longer fits stays visible so you can decide what moves. (Structured Pro’s Replan also reschedules missed tasks, on iOS.)
- You want help estimating. Optional AI can label tasks with duration, effort and priority, and scheduling itself runs on your iPhone.
- You plan with an AI assistant. Daytulo’s connector lets Claude, ChatGPT or Muse read your plan, see busy times you choose to share, suggest slots and add or update tasks (changing tasks from ChatGPT needs a ChatGPT Business or Enterprise/Edu plan; see the ChatGPT guide). See also the Claude guide and the ChatGPT guide.
- You only use an iPhone. Daytulo is made for it, and is on the App Store: Daytulo on the App Store.

Frequently asked questions
Is Daytulo a free alternative to Structured?
No. Structured can be used for free, with Structured Pro as an optional upgrade. Daytulo needs a subscription to use the planner: $7.99/month or $39.99/year in the US, with a 3-day free trial.
Does Structured plan my day automatically?
Structured is built around a timeline you arrange yourself. Its Pro plan adds AI-powered day planning that drafts a schedule and a Replan feature for missed or forgotten tasks. Daytulo works the other way round: it fits your tasks around your calendar, available hours and deadlines by default, and you adjust from there.
Can I use Daytulo on Android, a Mac or an Apple Watch?
No. Daytulo is an iPhone app. Structured lists apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch on the App Store, and its help centre also covers Android and the web.
Do both apps work with ChatGPT and Claude?
Yes, in different ways. Structured documents an MCP server for ChatGPT, Claude Desktop, Claude Code and other tools that can view, create, update, complete and delete tasks. Daytulo has an MCP connector at https://mcp.daytulo.com/mcp that can also read your plan, check availability and suggest time slots.
